Hand sewn garden embroidery

These garden embroidery designs are all hand sewn by me, they take many hours to create. There are thousands and thousands of stiches in each garden. Each one is unique, no two are ever the same.

I call them Monets garden because of the lake, waterlilies and flowers along the banks. The colors are much more alive and vibrant when you see the actual piece, the scan here does not do it justice.

In olden times embroidery was never thrown away, pieces such as these were handed down over the generations and reused time and again. This embroidery is such an item, you will always be able to recycle it into a new garment, ornament, frame or whatever you choose, it will last generations.

It takes over 50 hours to make one and each has thousands and thousands of hand sewn threads. Each one is unique.
