A haven of garden resources

Welcome to my online garden.

Please make yourself at home here, spend some time and look around.  All on offer here is from my own property or as a direct result of my interest in gardening.

One of my greatest joys in life is to be outside, surrounded by nature. Having this website means that I can effectively garden indoors. When the night comes or bad weather stops me from going outside I spend time here on this website pursuing the main things I love about gardening.

Sustainable gardening is a must

I live on 6 acres of semi grazing land in the Australian countryside. We are currently in our 8th year of drought and sustainable gardening is a 'must', not a choice here. Much of what I have to offer is about my journey with this property.

This isn't a site where you will find everything you need - but - I hope you will find some interesting and unique insights into many varied areas of gardening. This is a site where you get to meet me, not some slick website owner who knows nothing and cares even less about gardening.

I spent time getting qualified in Permaculture. One of the main concepts is that everything we do has consequences for the environment - to varying degrees. Permaculture designs endeavour to create a cooperation between people and nature.

Garden for environmental harmony

My garden is designed in a way that is in harmony with the local plants, birds and mammals; it compliments their needs as well as our own.

You will find here ideas that you can use in your own environment - regardless of where you live and how much land you have available. These principles apply for large gardens right through to small verandas.
